Sally Batton was the Director of Riding and Varsity Equestrian Head Coach at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH for over thirty years and led the team to five Ivy League Championships and six IHSA Zone I, Region 2 Championships in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association(IHSA). Sally served as the IHSA National Steward for fifteen years and was recognized in 2013 with the IHSA Lifetime Achievement Award and in 2019 was inducted into the organization’s Hall of Fame. Sally is also a Level III certified instructor with the American Riding Instructor’s Association (ARIA), and in 2008 was awarded Instructor of the Year. Sally is also a clinician teaching jumping, horsemanship, western and polocrosse in clinics around New England, Hawaii, Alaska and as far away as South Africa. Her book Athletic Equestrian: Ride Like a Varsity Athlete will be published by Horse and Rider Books in Spring ’22.

Kim Bauer is a well-known expert and educator in the field of Animal Acupressure and Massage. She began her coursework in Animal Acupressure and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1999 and then in January of 2005 after fourteen years as a Middle School and Elementary School teacher, Kim created her business, Animal Ease Therapies. She creates individualized, integrated bodywork sessions for each animal that combines her knowledge of Acupressure, Massage, Temperament Typing, and numerous other modalities that she has studied over the years. Additionally, Kim is an instructor for the Northwest School of Animal Massage and oversees and teaches the Acupressure certification programs as well as a number of online course offerings.

Catherine Wycoff, PT, DPT, GCFP, CERP, is a physical therapist for humans and for horses, with an undergraduate degree from Liege University (Belgium) and a doctorate from Des Moines University (US). She is also a Feldenkrais® Practitioner and a Certified Equine Rehabilitation Practitioner, in Lovettsville, VA. For over 30 years, she has helped her patients go from fearing that aging would be the end of their riding career to having the tools they needed to continue riding and taking care of their horses. Catherine is a lifelong horse lover and rider and has been learning from Wendy Murdoch since 2007.

Nahshon Cook was thirteen years old when he took his first riding lesson on an old professor named Willy at the Urban Farm at Stapleton, where he was a student in their Embracing Horses riding program for five years. During that time he was introduced to the art of Classical Dressage: a scientific system of equitation based on the mental development of the saddle horse proceeding greater physical demands. He has since been a devoted practitioner to this method of building partnerships with horses. He holds the adage “Follow the horse and find heaven in every step.” as his golden rule to approach to teaching and training.

Sue is the Executive Director of CANTER PA. CANTER PA is a non-profit organization dedicated to rehoming retiring racehorses through a free listing service offered to race trainers and owners. We strive to create a bridge between the race industry and the sport horse industry to assist in placement of ex-racehorses into quality sport and pleasure homes. CANTER PA is based out of Penn National Racecourse, but also lists horse at PARX as well as various farms throughout Pennsylvania.
